MAIN CONTROL PATCHES One of the main patches loads the required abstractions and externals: 01_SoloClapper.pd : control model for one clapper and one clap 02_Ensemble_GUI.pd : synch/asynch audience (band visualization) 03 Ensemble_NOGUI.pd : synch/asynch audience (audio only) ABSTRACTIONS clapper.pd - provides PhaseDiff to a cosc object humanrand.pd - models the randomness when a human is clapping hands oneclap.pd - synthesis model for the sound of a hand clap oneclapper.pd - control model for one clapper trirand.pd - random number with triangular distribution EXTERNALS (.c|.dll|.pd_linux) cosc - individual clapper control model that listens to the lead osc freeverb~ - Shroeder-Moorer reverb algorithm implemented by O. Matthes noiseq~ - noise excitation generator used in the synthesis of one clap ppl - controls the number of clappers reson~ - resonator used in the synthesis of one clap twopz~ - two-pole two-zero band-pass (excitation filtering) COMPILING 1. Ensure that compiler, include, and library paths are correct. 2. Do (one of) make pd_linux | pd_nt | pd_irix5 | pd_irix6 | pd_darwin 3. ClaPD requires freeverb~ (tested with freeverb~V1.1). If you don't have freeverb~ in your externals directory (or in your PATH), go to $(CLAPD_ROOT)/freeverb~ directory and do (one of) make pd_linux | pd_nt | pd_darwin The makefile will link the external to ../$(CLAPD_ROOT) directory. $(CLAPD_ROOT) indicates where ClaPD is installed (not a variable). INSTALLATION AND LOADING 1. Run pd and load one of the main control patches. 2. Alternatively, add $(CLAPD_ROOT) to File/Path... within PD.
