Requirements

Examination is the only requirement for the course. Please study the book and excercise material carefully. The reading guide may be of help when studying.

Unless you are already familiar with the HUT examination practices, please read HUT Instructions for examinations (61 kb, PDF)

Important! You need to enroll separately to examinations! Unfortunately, the WebTOPI-system does not provide the necessary language information. Therefore, you need to enroll at least two weeks beforehand by sending email to S-89.2300@acoustics.hut.fi. The message should contain your full name and student number.

Unless you have enrolled to the examination beforehand, we cannot guarantee that the examination is available in English as well as in Finnish.

There are four examinations each year: two during the autumn, one during the spring and one in the summer.
- the examination dates are available at http://www.hut.fi/~sopinto/luku_tentti/index_luku_tentti.htm and WebTOPI

Next examination: 7.3.2008, 13-16, lecture hall S3 , enrollment using WebTOPI (https://webtopi.hut.fi) is mandatory.

The results of examinations will be published on the course pages and notice board.

For examinations, you need pens etc. and a simple calculator with logarithmic and root functions. Papers are provided by the ECE-department. Literature, mobile phones, laptops/PDAs or conversation are not allowed. Calculators with the ability to store formulas and notes are forbidden.

Note that you need to pass only (1) examination, even though there are four opportunities to take the examination. There are no mid-term exams.
