Preliminary seminar information published. The seminar will start on Wed, Sept. 10, 2008 at 9:15 in room E112. Welcome!

Contents

The seminar is devoted to changing current topics in audio signal processing. In fall 2008, the title of the seminar will be Sonic Interaction Design. We will look at the usage of sound, more specifically, of non-speech audio at the interfaces of interactive commodities that support continuos interaction and multi-sensory feedback. Invited experts will provide us up-to-date information for designing sonic interactions. In classes, the participants will turn this information into embodied aural experience: they will ideate, prototype, evaluate, and reflect on sounding artifacts. They will also prepare a manuscript on a given topic and present it akin to the experts' presentations. The language of the seminar is English.
