The AKU LAB Chain Song will be produced so that:

1) Each participant will add a single track to the piece

2) This will occur in an order so that when a person has a track ready it will be sent to the next participant

3) Each artist has full artistic freedom, [with small restrictions: tempo= 126 beats per minute, four parts, length 111 bars]

4) However, since the song will build up gradually with many inputs a minimalistic approach for each track is encouraged

5) Your input can be for example a gong hit at bar 9, don't be discouraged by your current musical skills

6) The world premier of the song is on December the 16th in the AkuLab Christmas Party 2005

1) Send an email to henri.penttinen@hut.fi

2) You'll receive an acceptance mail or call where your order in the chain will be negotiated/dictated

3) At some point you'll receive the current version of the song as a wav-file

4) Get the click track from this page ClickTrack.wav

5) Try to follow the tempo and section changes at bars 17, 71, and 106.

6) Do your track (beats per minute 126, Length 111 bars, stereo, fs = 44 kHz, wav-file)

7) Send your track to Henri.Penttinen@hut.fi or put temporarily on wurlitzer

8) !! NOTE !!: Send just your track NOT a mixdown where you include the rest of the song

Assistance in recording solutions/problems are negotiable [for example a temporarily setup to the listening room]
