Distributions and downloads: BlockCompiler (BC3)

The following distributions on three different OS platforms are available for BC3 based on LispWorks or
CLISP Common Lisp. If you are familiar with Unix-based software tools, the CLISP based versions may by the version you would like to tailor for your, by adding EMACS editor and possibly some GUI component, etc. On the other hand, if you would like simply to start a ready-made application-like environment, the versions based on LispWorks Lisp might be for you. LispWorks Lisp is available from LispWorks as a Professional version (you have to pay for license) or Personal Edition (free) with some minor restrictions of use (you can start well with the free version and move to the professional version if you need it and can afford it.) LispWorks Lisp also has integrated support for API programming. If you are familiar with yet another Common Lisp, you may try to modify BC3 from sources to work with that Lisp, which may require you to dig deep into some implementation issues, such as foreign function calls and sound-I/O.
